Making your own magnets is a great way to add individuality to your refrigerator door. Each persons magnet will be unique to their own individual personality, and is a fun reminder each time you walk into your kitchen.<\/p>\n
You could use pine cones and paint them to look like flowers (daisy’s or zinnia’s) for a fun summer decoration or to add a pop of color to your kitchen.<\/p>\n Items :<\/p>\n To make your pine cones look like the flowers above, hold the pine cones at the base (the largest part) and trim off the upper scales with your wire cutters. Once you have the top part of your pine cone cut off, you can use the bottom of the pine cone in 2 different ways<\/p>\n Use the outside of the pine cone to make your flowers look like a Zinnia. Or use the inside of the pine cone to make your magnets look like a daisy.<\/p>\n Or, you could use pine cones in their natural state\/color for a rustic or country look.<\/p>\n Or, your magnets could fall somewhere in-between painted and plain. Like these ones –<\/p>\n If you’re not into using pine cones, you could also make magnets from acorns and caps. These magnets made by craftsbyamanda.com were painted to look like little strawberries, but could also be left the natural colors.<\/p>\n There are many possibilities of items that could be turned into magnets.
